I'm one of them who want best job in SSC as well as preparation for upsc. I'm thinking of considering MEA as my first preference. But i have 2 doubts. If anyone can help. 1. After the joining when we will be sent abroad? Is there a specific period ? 2. On an average how many years of his career does a selected candidate in MEA spends abroad? Thanks in advance.

 

1.After 3 years2. Mostly every 3rd year you spend in abroad

 

Mea is just like an another assistant in abroad , while you are earning more, the cost of living is also more n moreover no stable family n friends..u cn earn money but lose stablity in life P.S my real brother is in dis job

 

How frequently he stays abroad?I don't know what to prefer confused as hell.

 

Your choice to go abroad after 2-3 year for a period of 1-3 years at a time. Countries has been categorised as a+ ,a,b, cIn c category u'll be living in most disastrous countries (1st posting is definitely a 'c' grade country for 18 months). Employee has to apply for abroad according to vacancy in abroad is notice in office. But if u want to stay in delhi forevr n promotion is slow thn no point of mea

 

If u r not a social person an want to flaunt the name abroad thn go for it otherwise saving money like a stingy will tk u nowhr in life. We all have chosen to do govt service n living peaceful in life, priorities matter

Departmental exam clear kr k its 6 years or senioity base pr 10 years b lg jate h due to IFS selection from UPSC

Ok bhai.. Thanks.. Ek last baat aur puchhni thi. Jab hum job start krenge, tab toh 52000 milegi.. But har saal increment milta hai aur DA bhi increase hota hai, toh apprpximately kitni increase ho jaati hai monthly salary??For example, agar 2017 mein 52000 mil rhi hai, toh ek saal job ke baad next year 2018 mein monthly salary kitni ho jaayegi??

 

You'll have to go abroad in cycle, 3 yrs. India, 3 years abroad again 3-5 in India, then again somewhere abroad. Stability is the biggest issue

 

Eligible after 3 yrs but will be posted in not-so-good regions ie rudimentary regions like afghanistan bangladesh middle-east But if u wait for like 1-2 more yrs u might get good posting

 

Is it compulsory to take foreign posting at some point during your career? ?
