    friends i have a doubt please clarify...... a customer presented a gram panchayat cheque written on the front side pay to sarpanch.... but actually that cheque is presented by 3rd party over counter for payment.... so the teller can refuse the payment or can make payment for the same.... please clarify it....

    If ac payee/order cheque then u cannot pay if bearer cheque then u can pay.

    I think any doubt in cashier mind should not exist during payment it should only be paid when you r fully satisfied during payment, if it a bearer chq then after verifying the details of 3rd party by any photo id proof amount may be paid.

    OR is written on chq.. u can make payment to anyone.. but if bearer is cancelled ..u can make payment to sarpanch only

    While raising a doubt please maintain clarity to enable any one to answer. please inform whether the cheque is bearer or order and what is the amount of the cheque.After Sarpanch whether there are 4 dots without anything.kindly furnish details.

    Chq pe bearer cancel nai kiya he to payment dena hi he

    Gram panchayat account should be debit with the resolution, which is passed by members otherwise without resolution we can simply deny
