Cancelled cheque is mainly to confirm your bank details I guess. I applied for a cheque book recently Got it in 5 days .I am sure u will get it soon !

 

I too applied online and got it in 4 days,so do it now.

Ohh. Mine is SBI and they were pretty fast. Just 4 days,and only i needed to apply from online portal.

 

i got an sbi ac too bt branched in delhi, ryt nw im in manipur

 

u applied online, ryt? was there option of new updated address to be sent?

U don't need any minimum balance . I have applied after visiting branch and yet I have got it in 5 days

ok, bt the problem with me is tat my A/Cs are opened in del n mumbai yrs ago and im in manipur nw.

 

@Alluidh I have not done it online There must be some place where you mention the address and they will send it to you to Manipur

 

During medical an officer working there in nagpur ro told me that they need cancelled cheque just to get micr code.

I guess banks hav diff rules 1 of my Frnd in union bank asked me 4 min bal 1000rs

 

Guys Do we have to Change the account from General to salary account ?

 

I had a lot of Privileges In my Salary account in HDFC But it was a corporate account .I guess there are no such provisions here .
