Hi Anshul, if you are really interested in Marketing field then only go for it. SO have higher starting salary but some people say that growth opportunity is more in case of PO. SO will have field job while PO will have more of desk job.

 

i got one problem friends..i have mentioned about my previous organization in application form but i dont have any experience certificate or releaving certificate with me...will it be a problem during verification?

 

How SO gets more time than PO???

Don't worry... For scale 1 , they never ask for work exp certificate. However, if they do , then just show them the joining letter (if u have) and tell them something like u were not under payroll blah blah and hence the company did not issue any work exp cert..(U can think of similar reasons)...They would not ask any further on that matter, i guess.. Their main job is to verify only the eligibility criteria, identity proof and character certificate..

hello.. I am mktg officer in BOI in mysore (basically frm kota rajasthan). In hand salary at time is 32k as I had cleared jaiib and caiib. With revision it is expected to increase by another 6000 bucks. I never said dear that u can become MD or CEO in 3 yrs. I said u can get promoted in every 3 yrs. MD or CEO is level 7 position and it takes at least 21 yrs to be there. read post plz dont mis-interpret. Promotion for first 2 levels are vry easy in po especially if u r mba.. as most of other competents are not. In mktg dept. seats are ltd and it takes min 5 yrs to be at nxt level I.e. regional manager.

 

Yes vry true dat grass is always greener on other side of fence.. bt I will join as po. A good marketing personnel is one who knew his segment.. ur choice compete with other mba ppl or others.. believe me aftr few years when u see a stupid person on level ahead of u.. u can understand

 

Targets depend on time. Some time u have to meet up bank ppl and others to promote loans, sometimes casa, nri account, health insurance, Vry rarely kcc as well

 

Joining will be in june most probably as I see as most banks do the same. First 15 days training and a round of hr interaction and u will be given location accordingly

A Marketing Officer can be promoted up to SCALE 4 but i read promotion policy of UBI which says Marketing Officer can shift to general banking management after 5 yrs..is it true?

because as fai i gathered info from seniors thy said v dn have to do that in PSbs...

 

hey... it depends. If you are given a lead by any manager of the branch assigned to you, it would be ur duty to go n meet the prospect. Whether conversion or non conversion of call doesn't matter but at the end of the day the branch manager will get free by saying he has given the lead.. At the end of the day you being marketing officer has to be responsible. Mostly in south you are assigned 8 - 10 branches, amongst which 2-3 will be in same city and rest near by districts.

 

I have cleared sbi assosiate po and will be resigning soon, as soon as my joining date is confirmed. Guys plz dnt take this post a -ve post, i jst want u to knw all pros and cons. My colleagues who have joined po when i didn't are all on higher level than me and one of them is selected for post of Senior manager in Rajasthan Co operative bank. General banking is preffered even in promotions and exams... But yes once again, if you are not selected in po, this is the next best alternative. Go for it. Tc guys. Hope I could answered few of ur queries. wish u luck.
