BHIM APP Bharat Interface for money or BHIM app is India's generic mobile app for secure transactions .It is based on Unified Payment Interface (UPI), developed by National Payment Corporation of India.This app supports all Indian banks which use that platform which is built over the IMPS system and allows the user instant transfer of money Some pros and cons of BHIM app are as follows: PROS: 1.It does not require internet banking or mobile banking for transfer of money. 2.It has two layer authentication process. 3.This app can be used on boh smart phones and featured phones. 4.User can create QR code ofr specific amount which is helpful for merchants and traders 5.It allows user to send or receive money using their UPI Address or QR code or account number with IFSC code or Mobile Money Identifier Code(MMID) to user who do not have UPI address. 6.Available in both hindi and english language. CONS: 1.it allow user to send only Rs. 10,000 in one transaction and Rs. 20,000 in 24 hours,which is very less. 2.It is not available in local languages. 3.Works on only on the mobile number linked with the account. 4.Allows user to link only one account at a time.In order to use different account user have to reset the entire app. 5.It does not allow other functions like mobile,electricity bill payment etc. BHIM App is a good initiative in current bad internet connectivity situation especially in rural areas but in order to be competitive it must acquire some new features .For example Phone Pe allows multiple bank accounts to be linked at same time along with incentives to users.
