profit on equity investment on short term comes under the category of STCG ( Short term capital gain ) there is provision of 15.45% ( including education cess ) my question is people fall under 20 % and 30 % tax bracket have to pay less while 10 % tax bracket people have to pay more Are short term capital gains dont fall under normal tax bracket and add up in the gross income so that we have to pay according to our tax bracket . Anyone who is having tax knowledge throw some light on this taxation of securites in short term and how they are taxed thanks in advance

 

No benefit to 10 compared to 20. irrespective of slap capital gain is taxed at 15%
