This might be an off topic question What is portfolio of rrb scale 2 officer n his sanctioning authority ? Salary n promotion aspects ?

 

Specialist scale 2 Officers are posted mainly in Regional Offices, in their respective departments... Scale 2 marketing manager are posted either in branch as FOs or in RO as FOs.. GBO scale 2 are posted as branch manager or FOs...

 

Payscale already mentioned in the notification... In hand salary is between 52k-55k depending upon location...

 

If joining as a scale 2, then promotions are early compared to PSB's... It totally depends on individual RRBs, but 5-6 years is min duration for promotion to scale 3...

 

Rrb Preference is asked... U HV to give preferences while filling form...

 

I think, difficulty level is less than other IBPS exams...

 

Also in rrb what are the limits to which credit can be given by scale 2

 

Are we allowed to sanction huge credit to tune of several crores or is it limited ?

 

RRB works for small credit and priority sector finance... Huge credit to one entity is not expected here...

 

I agree but what are the limits for the same ?Sanctioning authority for scale 2

 

However if the bank is approached by an entity for huge credit then in that case can it take up or it has to redirect the proposal to another bank

 

@Mani Rao mam, I am currently working in PNB as AO. I contacted nearby sarv Haryana gramin bank branch manager about the work culture. His response was very passive, he strongly recommend me not to join RRB at any cost. So pls tell me is it profitable to leave PNB and join RRB as GBO scale 2.

 

He said working here is not less than hell. Allowance are less as compared to PSBs. Working as branch manager is a tedious thing in RRB as you have to go in field for business generation.

 

@John Sps if u r an OA then it's always better to go for scale 2... But, working in RRB is tedious no matter what the scale is... U HV to handle customers, who can't even write their names... Working culture is very different from PSB'S... Many people may not be able to handle.. U r posted in villages, allowances are less etc that's true... U HV to b mentally prepare for that...

 

But Promotion chances are better than PSB'S... As attrition rate is high in RRB...
