Vault teller as he is technically the custodian of cash.he will be liable for any mismatch in cash so he should keep it.

The chief cashier or anyone of the cashiers when there is no designation as chief cashier. However, the second keys can be handed over to any person who are tellers/clerks and above cadres in case the cashiers leave the station on account of leave. There are no hard and fast rules. In the case of first keys, necessarily it should be held with the branch in charge and the branch in charge can handover the keys permanently to the next authority on getting permission from higher authorities since he may be in a position to get engaged in outstation duties very often
