4200-4600 or directly to 4800 if you clear SAS. Also don't expect immediate promotion as you clear SAS. It depends on available vacancies again. In an ideal case you can reach 5400 in 10 years. Also I want to add one thing: Getting into DA does not guarantee you a civils job.

 

Dont bother about salary or grade pay. You get almost same powers as 5400 officer from day one and DA s should not worry about salary.

SAS route. Your planning ahead is commendable but in the worst case you will retire as Senior Div.Accountant officer when you can as Deputy Commissioner in CBEC or Joint Commissioner in CBDT

Any time excise/custom is better than DA.my total score was 509 n I opted for DA over these posts.I regret now as m getting only negative reviews abt DA.

Bro there is no work pressure in niacl..job is good..but when we compare to status of govt group b job its nothing

There are no negative reviews for DA. They are just drawbacks when compared to other inspector posts. As i said earlier if you can get DA in your home city then it is a very good post and is better suited for females(assuming by your name)

bro my choice will be bit different from yours...you select according to your requirements...i wanted balanced job with some field work with it...so excise fitted me..thats why i filled it first choice...rest were immaterial for me...m also upsc aspirant like you
