yeah.. We hav to show them anyhow... That we r preparing hard for dis job only.. and want dis job desperately. Thats it... I think.

 

In sbi interview i was asked about other exams.....sbi people know very well that if we get selected at sbi we are sure to join it but ibps will not accept that one would leave sbi for any other bank....so it's better to tell a lie in this case....

@sonamalb As such they dont mention it officially,but a personnel with any sort of banking experience is always benefitted!

Normally Banks have 5 sections in the IT Department:-1)
Data Center : This section is the heart of the bank where all the data
and core banking application lies. The work of the IT Officer is
maintenance and support. Shift duty systems are followed for this
section in order to ensure that it is manned 24 hours a day.2. ATM Section: This section looks after all ATM related activity. Shift duty systems are followed in this section too.3.
Project Office: In this section, all IT support for branch banking is
handled. Shift duty systems are followed in this section too.4.
Security Section: In this section, IT officers are responsible for
looking after the Bank Network Security and Anti-Virus updation. In
cases of fraud or any incidence of a breach in the Bank's internal
security, IT officers are called for important enquiries.5. MIS and
Application section: In this section, in-house software development and
MIS related activity happens. IT Officers in this section are engaged in
developing new software or modifying the Bank's existing software.

 

Role of IT Officer:1.An IT Officer provides end-to-end support for Bank's core banking system.2.She/he is responsible for management of various sub-systems like ATM, Kiosks, Mobile Banking and internet Banking, Networking etc.3.She/he develops new software or modifying the Bank's existing software.4.With cyber-crime witnessing a rise, IT officers are responsible for looking after the Bank Network Security and Anti-Virus update. In cases of fraud or any incidence of a breach in the Bank's internal security, IT officers are called for important inquiries.Overall IT Officer looks after the technological perspectives of Banking Operations.

 

Q - You have been topper throughout your studies. Then why do you want to join bank, instead of joining any IT firm which pay higher package ?

 

Financial institutions are the backbone of economy of country; and I want to keep it technical upto so ur country's development keep at pace.

data center is a nothing but the actual storage center where all the data is stored . It will contain several server machines running 24X7 to support business. We can imagine it as a huge building filled with several harddrives

 

how to build it? ... there are specific set of techniques to build a data center. Every company will have their own way to design data center

hi guysnowhere in the notification pdf 1:3 ratio for interview is given.i dont think it is safe to assume 700 seats based on the no of people called for interview.correct me if iam wrong

 

What is the use of thinking of number of seats...give ur best for the preparation of interview..leave rest to GOD

 

Yeah, the total no. of seats in the last 2 years were around 300 and 400 so how come the no. of seats have increased to more than 700 this time?Anyways we have to give our best in the interviews....

While filling application form for IBPS SO, I mentioned my Date of Passing 31 May by mistake but its 27 May on my degree. Will it create problm while document verification? Will they reject my candidature for interview?
