bro.. That's just an illusion. First of all when in IT, you tend to spend a lot more than what is needed. It means you spend a lot on useless things. The work environment is such that a lot of consumerism becomes a part of your lifestyle. So a person earning 25 lacs feels that he is still not earning much. Moreover, in a private company you are working for a business group where motive is to maximize profit. So whatever u get, don forget, u earn them much more than that. This results in a lot of mental imbalance. Hunger for earning more beer stops in pvt sector. Hence you are always restless. And then it boils down to your personal choice. You either chose to be restless or you chose to be different. See its.. Money is a secondary matter . moreover you will get enough from GOI to lead a gentleman's life.

I am working in IT from past 5 1/2 years, earning good amount as well and got excise I have my own reasons to join Govt sector..so, you think why you need it and if you think it doesn't deserve you leave it ...try for Civils
HI ronak first of all I want to say a line ..har khana dusri ke thali me jada aur har ek ki biwi apne Se jada achhi lagti hai ....so pls see ur priorities first ...m also working in tcs since 4.5 yrs ..and this ssc cgl was too tough to get a gud rank ..m also joining excise...but convey hr parents that wen u will wear that 3 star uniform no money can match that...immense sense of satisfaction will be der ...and u will find a chance of tone in wat people would speak to u ..aur bhai ..paise acche hai yahan ...rralax karoge life jiyoge ..aur rahi baad dirty env ki toh maine apne it career me bhi dekh liye har tarah ke dost hai mere har field me koi Iim koi state psc koi abroad sab pareshan hai...isliye shannti Se Mann ka karo ..sabse badi baat hai job security ..tumne 60 yrs of age ki salary fix kar li...ye sab Se aur bhi aisi baatein hai Jo mere tcs ke seniors be bataya ...gandagi har jagah hai yaar ..u need to fight everywhere so stay focussed ..log usi ke piche chalte hai Jo apni Mann Se chalte hai..kisi aur ke Mann Se nhi ..btw I am air 916 in ssc 2014 and 152 among excise inspectorsinspectors wats hr rank bhai ?
